Mount Katahdin

It is extremely hard to express my joy and sadness in mear words in regards to my journey, I will try my best anyway.
It's strange to be flying home and knowing that we are not hiking tomorrow. Every day for the past 7 months have revolved around hiking. This journey has opend my eyes to so many things. I will never forget the wonderful people I have met, hikers and trail magic providers alike. It's people like you who make the trail what it is today, full of jaw dropping moments and contagious laughter. The things I have learned about myself have been true gifts from God. I have grown spiritually and mentally in ways only the trail can provide, plus I have badass leg muscles now! Julian and I have strengthend our relationship in ways we didn't know possible. We are truly happy to be with one another and are ecstatic to be able to complete this dream together! It saddens me to be leaving the solitude of the woods and the nature I have come to call my home.

As our friends, who we have become so close with, finish their hike and return to their 'normal' lives in the real world, I continue to wish them the simple happiness we found in the woods together.

This truly has been one of the hardest and most gratifying things I have done in my life. It has calmed me and brought me closer to knowing my true self, the good and the bad, and for that I am forever grateful.

My dad came to summit with us!

Nala (my faithful lion stuffed animal) made it to Katahdin, and her love Simba flew to meet her!

After our summit of the last mountain, we decided to go just a little further and hike over the Knives Edge!

Here are a few pictures of our time in Maine and the 100 mile wilderness!
We carried fishing poles in the 100 mile wilderness and cooked our catches :)

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey! We could not have made it without you!!!

Remember,

Life's short, do epic shit!
